Designed by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio with SOM architects and developed by Knight Dragon, No.2 at Upper Riverside is part of a new design-led residential development on Greenwich Peninsula. Within the family of five-light filled glass and stone towers on the edge of the Thames is a collection of thirty-five studios, lofts and penthouses.

The lofts feature double height living spaces with breath-taking city views, while the studios boast private balconies and measure a generous 516 square feet. The three penthouses of up to 2,485 square feet have additional private terraces of up to 2,350 square feet. Inspired by a sense of Britishness as well as the building’s unusual geometry, Design Research Studio embraced the dynamic lines of the architecture to create a bold and modern interior.

Their choice of materials leads the distinctly British narrative: bathroom tiles reference traditional glazed London brick, enamel kitchen splashbacks are from the same craftsmen who make London’s enamel underground signage, ironmongery from Birmingham and unique copper pieces designed by artisan craftspeople across the country. The limited-edition apartments were made available to purchase off-plan earlier this year with anticipated occupancy due autumn/winter 2018.
