“The New World” is a photogrpahic series created by Robert G. Achtel and Jens Bambauer that revisits anonymous 20th century American architecture. The series is set in a time characterised by the conflict of Modernist and Postmodernist convictions, its influence on later 20th century history, and ultimately, the world we live in today. The partnership of German photographers Achtel & Bambauer, otherwise known as Geebird&Bamby, was founded in 2009 with the primary objective to create, manufacture and distribute "The New World" as an original visual design product. The series has been produced in limited editions of 100 per piece and is manufactured in cooperation with Oschatz GmbH & CO KG, one of Germany's leading image production firms, founded as a photo laboratory in 1922.
