The natural light in this room was poor so it was very important to keep the ceiling, walls and flooring very pale. The large wardrobe reflected more light into the room as it was positioned opposite the window. Downlighters were used liberally in this room to allow good artificial light when neccessary and the dimmer function gave the option of mood lighting for relaxation. We were asked to design a light modern and practical sheme which was luxurious too. |

As with most bedroom schemes the bed is the main feature of the room. The deep oversized headboard created height and impact and the matching bed base is an effective finishing touch. We were able to source some cubist art by a local artist which picked up the shades of Brown and Mocha perfectly. Layering the bed with a heavy velvet throw and silk and taffetta cushions added lots of glamour and style to the room.

The en suite which led from the main bedroom needed to coordinate, light was an issue once again so a White suite with pale walls was the obvious choice. We were able to source a stone floor tile which we ran up the wall in the same design as the floor and matching the colours in the bedroom. |
